The internationally acclaimed author Salman Rushdie has recently published the novel Victory City, an extensive story spanning 250 years, chronicling the rise and fall of an entire empire with detours into tales of rival kingdoms and enchanting forests.

In April 2024, Knife – Meditations After an Attempted Murder will be published, bringing readers closer to the life of the author himself. It's an autobiographical narrative of his life and family, particularly focusing on the hatred he encountered after writing The Satanic Verses and the assault he endured in 2022.

Salman Rushdie has an extensive body of work, notably including The Satanic Verses and the acclaimed novel Midnight's Children. His works are characterized by an abundance of stories and diverse characters drawing from historical events, mythology, religion, as well as dreams and fantasy. He has won numerous prestigious international awards for his literary contributions, including the Booker Prize and the Friedenspreis des Deutschen Buchhandels. Additionally, he was knighted in 2007 and is considered a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
